Easy to drink, good start and finish, not a big wine - had it with Pork and the structure was solid. Berries, earthy, good nose. However, would not hold onto this wine too much longer

Nearing its peak - still showing some youth with a bit of excessive fruitiness starting to hint at complexities. Not as good as 2010 vintage...yet. Bouquet and taste balanced, sweet, tasty, long finish - fruit, spice, leather, tangy. Moderately chewy texture. Versatile - very good by itself and went moderately well with everything we tasted with it in various combinations, but did not seem to accentuate tastes as well as the 2010 vintage did - beef sausage, turkey sausage, Dijon French mustard, several mustards, sharp cheddar cheese, onion cheese, and pepper jack cheese. New Year's Eve celebration. Happy New Year! (God Is NOT Dead - saw the movie to start the new year.)

38th Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2011s (R&D's): A touch on the ripe side, but not overwhelmingly so. Dark fruit and raspberry, with peppery, slightly raisiny fruit on the finish.

Sour initially. Improved slightly but previous vintages have been much better.
