Medium dark red color. Drank a glass after this had been open a few days. I'm told that this was not very open to start with, but was significantly better the following night. Still holding up well now. This was quite consistent with a note from 2013. The nose shows deep red cherry and ripe red raspberry with underbrush and spices. The palate has a medium body, nice tart red cherry and red raspberries, just a little note dried wood and hints of cranberry and more sublte tobacco leaf. 90-91pts.

This is a bruiser and at 7 years young its just starting to lose the cola cola heavieness and begin its evolution into a more multi-dimensional thing. Dark. Deep, still ponderous. Black cherry, plum, earth.
If you are more of a cab type of person you will prefer this wine where it is right now.
