Decent amount of sediments, decanted for 15 mins for first sip, which was muted fruit, finish with dominant oak finish. Consumed over the next 4 hours+. Wine opened up as the night progress, and was best around 2.5 hours mark. It was balanced was good fruits & acidity, hints of herbs & smok, a bit of tannin, finish with pleasant oak. From 2.5hrs to 4hr mark, fruit slightly fades, resulting the oak finish to be much more prominent. This 3rd of 4 bottles was the best, started bottle 1 in 2016...depending on your palate, can probably go for another 2 years.
Consumed along with 2014 Vanessa Vineyard Merlot, and held its own

This wine seems to be in a good spot right now. I reviewed my Sep-2012 review of the 2009 vintage and it was not very favourable. Maybe the 2010 is better or it needs more age but this wine was good. Chewy tannins and medium body. Eucalyptus on the nose with lots of dark fruit. I will have to revist the 2009 to see if it has improved with age.

This is still drinking really well. Very smooth, with a peppery finish - still in fine form. Likely at its peak, probably best to enjoy this soon.

Needs to be decanted and aired for 1 hour. Initial opening, very acidic, almost vinegar like. Yuk. After some time, it opened up nicely.

Might be past it's prime... Still nice but not over the top.
