Not as good as the '09, but still a treat. Very sweet, syrupy texture, baking spices, raisins, dates, figs, caramel, some orange, medium acidity, long finish. Lovely.

Tasted alongside the delightful Chateau Suduiraut 1998. Wish I had bought less of this and more of the latter. A very mature tawny colour, and viscous, with masses of sweetness and caramel. I could easily believe it to be fortified rather than just 10% abv as disclosed. While there is sufficient acidity to provide some balance, this is not a subtle wine.

Oh my. Almost late-harvest like in creamy unctuous texture. Notes of peach, almond and apricot. Layers of delicious complexity.
If a date, this was a 25 year old 36 24 36 beauty who finishes dinner early so she can take you home and rotate your earth. Lovely on it's own but probably not as food friendly as a drier white nor MSR Riesling.

My bottle. Bright copper color, walnut, apricot, strawberry fruit leather, spicey, golden raisin, great acidity, exciting palate presence. Color has darkened considerably from yellow to orange in just 18 months, will probably be tawny in another year and a half.

Very sweet, very viscous and rich. Long with some complexity. One glass was probably enough
