The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry jam and plum. It tastes like plum and light toast. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Roux at Parliament Square. Limited note taking. On, I suspect, a long plateau of excellence. Concentrated spice, liquorice and smokiness balancing the focussed ripe blackcurrant and hedge fruit flavours. Firm but rounded integrated tannins. The CF is definitely to the fore here. Very long. Excellent - the four of us easily demolished two bottles of this top rate (and new to me) brew. Now and for at least 4-5 years. 91+

Tapanappa Tasting with Brian Croser (26 Waterloo Street, Surry Hills, Sydney): Deep ruby, clear and bright with tears. Clean developing with medium minus aromas of jammy ripe red fruit, mint & eucalypt, sweet spice and oak. In the mouth the wine is dry with medium plus acid, tannin, alcohol, body and flavour intensity with flavours of red and black fruit, vanilla, and savoury tannin, bit of a bruiser.
