Dried fruit, anise, earth, spice, cocoa, mellowed fruit. Smooth. A full bodied merlot - nice for Washington. Aged well, tannins integrated. Goes well with steak. This really needed the time - much better than the bottle consumed 3.5 yrs ago. Me - 90, Wife - 92

This was a positive surprise. I’ve never had a Merlot from Washington before. This was super soft and weightless with an intriguing fruity sweetness. Like drinking a strawberry candy drops. Lots of fun and one to serve to all kinds of guest, wine lovers or newbies. Not overly complex, yes, but still a treat.
TN: Airy nose filled with red fruits with additional layers of herbs and meaty aromas. Intense strawberry candy, wet rocks, a touch of green aromas/minty, herbs. Yes, on the sweet side of things but in now way too much sweetness. Very balanced and harmonious with fine, hardly noticeable tannins and a well-integrated acidity.
Decanting: Decanted for roughly 2+ hours which seemed perfect.

Von meinen Bruder erhalten - normalerweise sind das absolute Topweine. Dieser Merlot ist recht durchschnittlich...keine Chance gegen die Tessiner Merlots in gleichem Preissegment. Ok aber nicht Top.

Could be in a weird phase right now. I will wait to see what it turns into but I am not having very high hopes. It may have been a bad bottle but we will see later.
