Acker Auction - May 2019 (Zuma in NYC): Nicely aged. Pours a touch cloudy and continues to be more of an almost brown-gray color in the glass. A bit lighter in style. Nice.

The cork came out in one piece! Brown color, very light. Opens with lots of tar. Given three hours of air it becomes more clean and shows up old leather, dried flowers and is a little bit medicinal. The tannins have melted down and some structure is there, but very mildly. This was an elegant mature barolo and luckily alive. The length could be longer and some iron was to be found in glass number three. But blew away quickly. Great with beef of reindeer, risotto made with mushrooms and port sauce.
