  • We had this wine at dinner during our 1-yr anniversary celebration. From the cellar it was chilled slightly from 70 down to 65 (more to my preference). The wine was poured when my steak arrived as opposed to 15 minutes early like I would normally do at home. It was poured from the bottle so it felt very tight initially. Very good nose of dark fruits balanced with forest floor. I tasted alcohol so let it decant in the glass for an additional 10 minutes and really evened out. By the end of the meal it was a very smooth and well balanced wine. I bought a few bottles at the winery and will likely let the others age a few more years. From the winery, this wine will be very good drinking now, but is far from its peak which should come in 5-10 years.
