  • Bottle breathe for 1.5 hours. Opened other 30 min in the glass. Full blossom in the nose with loads of strawberry, red fruit and flower, the palate was initially a bit shy, but fully in service 1 hour after in the glass with matured red fruit, cherry, wood and a bit smoke. Peak 1.5 hours in the glass in perfect on both palate and nose.

  • nose - touch funky, savory, tomato
mouth - complex and vibrant, brown sugar, potpourri of red fruits, this wine was singing tonight, very rich yet classy. At the table it was postulated that it was made with stems. If Girardin bought the wine 'in barrel', then possibly originates from an illustrious producer who owns and declassifies a fair amount of RSV consistently, and is a big stem-inclusion proponent. Hmmm... whom could that be.

  • Sexy red and black fruits and earthy notes. Some sap and wood on the palate framing the wine. Nice transparency and firmness to the finish lacking in too many 2000s - more 2001 in style. Really nice '00.
