Burgundy Bachelor Party: Floral with some funk that blew off after about 20 minutes, and became totally sweet and lovely. This was an excellent Cros Parantoux but was up against 96 Rousseau Chambertin which was a monster, and 96 DRC Richebourg which was also no slouch.

96 Burg dinner. Served blind as Burgdoctor table wine. Delicate, slightly metallic aromas. Lot of depth and concentration in red fruited palate. Decanted for 2 hours, actually needed more time.

Magnums of Meo (Vosne-Romanee - Burgundy): From magnum at the domaine. Mature red and black cherry with Asian five spice. Lots of fruit, earth and spice to start, followed by textural charm highlighting the long, energetic, sophisticated finish.
