Deep dark brilliant marroon color. Extremely clear and vibrant. Strong aromas of cranberry, prunes and raisins. Hints of cinnamin and clove. Bone dry with medium body and a high alcohol content. Intense flavors of clove, pepper, leather and wet dirt. Really nice but even better with a juicy steak.

Deep dark color that is surprisingly transparent. The nose is showing some secondary development with rich deep blackberry jam, chocolate, anise, and light wood. The nose is so rich I don't want to leave the glass, and I keep thinking back to my mom canning jam in the fall. In the mouth it has chalky tannins on the finish yet is overall a softer wine with medium acidity. The palate is rich blackberry, jammy plums, light wood and mint. I used jammy though I want to differientiate between jammy as in weight and jammy as a flavor. The cooked concentrated fruit is the jam I talk about here where you find yourself dipping your fingers into it to get another taste. Overall this wine was bright and alive, and in the end really a treat to enjoy! 4/5
