  • 12% alcohol. From a 50 cl bottle, a good format for liquoreux. Shortish cork penetrated less than a quarter of the way; lovely vanilla smell of the cork.
The colour is very deep, enough to cause concerns of oxidation. However, the nose dispels that notion with glorious aromas of quince and exotic fruit.
The mouth confirms this and adds superb palate coating and good balancing acidity; long lasting sensations and a punchy finish with an extra rush of sweetness (nothing cloying).
As far as I remember, this is the estate's top liquoreux, and it is priced accordingly, but arguably worth the money.
    Fully mature now.
