  A modern wine from one of the classic producers of La Rioja. Highly concentrated dark berry compote and marked barrique notes, despite being 'only' a Roble with 5 months in the cask. Held up well with now ~5 years of age. Goes down well, but something is lacking to excite me, some more complexity, a more varied sensory information to accompany the concentrated fruit and vanilla, maybe. At its price level well worh a try, but it won't be on my wish list.
