I have great passion for Rossignol, and this bottle was no exception. Very solid, elegant and complex. The essence of a high class burgundy. It will probably develope for many years, but was ready to enjoy now.

tasted alongside this producer's Volnay Chevret 09 and the Pernand Vergelesses 10 1er cru fichots. This was the least expressive (and least likable). The fruit is somewhat muted and hints of tea and earth are present. Tannins are quite firm still and I can only agree with the professional tasters that refer to some rusticity. Nevertheless a good wine.

Nicolas Rossignol's 2011s (Bistro 7 (7 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia)): Quite austere, even after swirling a good bit and a retaste a few hours later. Darker fruits, tea, cherries. Acidity not as clean and focused as some others. Definitely needs some time. There is good substance here but I preferred others.

The Arts Club Version of the 1976 Judgement of Paris, With Steven Spurrier (The Arts Club, London): Tasted Blind.
Elegant, mild, easy to spot as a burgundy, good fruit, well made and barring a touch of bitter edge on the finish and the need for a bit more depth this was a very nice wine. Solid 89-90
