Nearly opaque red/black. Ripe, almost flashy blackberry with smoked meat, pepper, and leather backing it up. There is some buried structure there, but it's not a ton and I think this can best be enjoyed anytime between 2 and 10 years from now.
Young and still a bit tight. But approachable, especially with food. This wine has a beautiful nose of blackberry, earth and graphite. Shows a dark core of fruit on the palate with a long finish that matches the nose. This is just outstanding even this early in its life and will be hard to keep my hands off the next bottle.
