In the beginning the nose suffers by too much sulfur but this goes away after half an hour. Cherries and toasted notes are later on accompaigned by apricots (!) and floral notes. Dry tannins, medium for a brunello, with a sligth bitterness in the finish; okay acidity. On the palate dark cherries that turn into red cherries and cherry stone in the aftertaste. Medium body and medium aftertaste. Typical for Piccini a fairly well tasting wine to the price but of not a great wine within its class.

Very dark. Don't think it should be stored much longer.
