The restaurant decanted this wine, then we waited 45 minutes to drink. If we were at home, we would have waited longer. Pleasant nose with all the typical Brunello aromas. Dark fruit and some licorice on the palate. Lovely with veal chop. Rather short finish.

opens up nicely after 90 minutes, pours a deep ruby color with brick edges, has some leather, dried rose petals, and cherry scents, this is a masculine style with the elegance of the vintage, dark berries, herbs, tobacco and dried cherry hints on the palate, excellent value, drinking well now with good potential to hold up in the cellar, had with a sausage lasagna

Benvenuto Brunello - Walk Around Tasting (Drake Hotel - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Very powerful and ripe with bright red and black cherry and plenty of fresh herbs. Nicely balanced and very tasty already. Told this is approx $65 retail, this is a very good value wine with lots of medium-term cellaring potential.

The nose was restrained and slightly reductive, showing notes of ripe cherry and rubber, with hints of sweet florals and herbs. On the palate, light red fruits with a bump of brisk acidity made themselves known, leading into a medium-long finish defined by mouth-coating tannins.
