From Magnum PnP nice American style cab. Good fruit balanced by the acidity and alcohol not making it a fruit bomb. Easy to drink, had it with thin crust pizza. Very nice!

Funky nose of loam and mineral. Blows off to a more old world style nose of earth and dirt. The palate is also balanced with more earth, some dark cherry and soft tannins that indicate potential for laying down. Winemaker notes suggest decanting and I would also make that recommendation. Drank with Steve at Christmas.

Ah, my last revisit for this beauty. Seems a bit of time has done well for this wine. Aromas are harsh at first with strong ozone and ash but it blows off after a spell exposing toast, black fruit, vegetation, and old spice. Full and silky with finely integrated tannins that balance out this huge blackberry monster. Minerals, bitter cocoa, cassis, and a pinch of spice create a lasting finish.
