Holding up well, this mature CduR is dark fruits and savory balanced. It's beginning to soften around the edges but still very drinkable. Enjoy over the next few years with proper storage. Good deal around $12 a bottle in better years.

88-89 It definitely needs a minute to open up. Very nice for the price. Floral notes, dark berries, very savory, olive and cured meats. I was very impressed at the QpR on this wine. I don't think this is a CdR for the ages, but is a nice spring time barbq red drinking well already.

A little more fruit still left in this (as compared with the previous wine I reviewed this evening, another 2011 CduR) notes of savory and earth. Darker, richer, balanced.
A better cheap Cotes du Rhone.

Floral nose, bright and clean, roses and red currants, opens up with grilled steak and olives. Fine tannins, fresh acid, medium body. Gushing red fruit (plums, cherries, currants), laced with notes of olive and grilled steak, peppercorns and rose petals. Earthy and mushroomy but fresh and vibrant and fruit-driven as well. Silky and elegant, expressive, drinking wonderfully. Not one to age for too long but maybe another year or two could coax out some more complex earthy-olive flavors. For $13, are you kidding me?
