The 2011 Sta Rita Hills continues to drink quite well, with an appealing juxtaposition of reductive and ageing notes including pear, hazelnut, smoke, and stone. Good density to the supercharged white fruit and mineral flavors. Lively acidity. Impressed how this — the Sandhi equivalent of a village — has aged so well. Very good.

The 2011 Sta Rita Hills has aged exceptionally well, having gained write a bit of weight and power in the cellar and now boasting a discrete and well-delineated nose of pear, mushroom, smoke, and stone. An underlying minerality keeps things vibrant even as the wine rounds out with age. Very good.

Nose of green apple, pear, toasted oak and hay. Richness and creamy texture with excellent acidity, apple, pear and balanced finish - just a touch of flavor spike on the finish.

Very delicate and balanced. I would have sworn chassagne.
