  • Night of sweet wines with Lianzijia (Newmarket, Auckland): medium depth gold. dense sweetness, candied apricot, honeycomb, with some nuts, spices and subtle mineral flavours. solid acidity, orange peel, support a well balanced structure, and complexitiy. slightly oxidised notes, apart from this, it aged elegantly, balanced and all elements knit together very well.

  • Others' comments are accurate - this feels like 5 putts, it's fairly light.

  • The wine to finish our beautiful experience at Geranium , Copenhagen.
Liquid gold as expected albeit this felt lighter for a 6 and closer to a 5 in weight and richness. Still liquid gold. Rich, honey, botrytis, bright and energetic and with impressive acidity that keeps the wine feeling light on its feet as it dances around ones palate. Impressive wine and an easy 93 and this has many many summers of life ahead of it.

  • A baby. I really don't think this wine is ready to rate right now as it is incredibly young. If I had to put a number on it, I'd probably give a 92. This is really good right now, but I sense it will be at least 2-3 points higher within 10 years. This has incredible structure. Dried apricots, honey, walnuts. Mouth coating and quite delicious with a variety of desserts. This one went best with a salted caramel creme brulee-ish dessert but did just fine with lemon cake, and a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. If you have these, I would really be in no hurry to drink them now.
