Ett vin som är mycket, men det mesta är i balans. Stor doft med mycket citrus, popcorn, tropisk frukt och lite (men alls inte oangenämt) brända tändstickor. I munnen är det lime och grape, sköna syror, fylligt och gott som hänger kvar länge.

A Weekend in Ekatahuna; 10/22/2015-10/23/2015 (Ekatahuna, New Zealand): Light straw. Very smoky and reduced bouquet. The palate leads one to Chablis, due to the sharp acid, but the heavily toasted oak seems out of keeping, for the style. The fruit is clean and bright and tails off a bit on the finish but overall, this has heaps of character and could be outstanding with food.

I like it, but only with food. Initially I agreed with the other notes published. Oaky, disjointed and just not that pleasant. Then I grabbed a piece of leftover, cold chicken breast and I completely changed my mind. It just worked, I don't know why but it did.

Very heavy on oak, and lacked the fruit purity of the 2010. Still a decent Chardonnay for the price.
