  • Another bottle of this was what got me started on port. It was faboulous a few years ago. This isn't there yet. Opened for 10 days it startet out thin! Yesterday it got better but instead I thought the alcohole was disturbing. Half left. Brb.

Edit: Today, two weeks after opening, at last, the bottle was showing it's best. Sweet, lovely fruit. And getting a body. Today it's beautiful and hard to stop drinking.

Finishing the bottle. 95 the last two days. Much lower from the beginning. Dont drink it all at once.

  • (Blind tasting)
Youthful, compact, dense nose. Fresh and modern style. Blueberry, plum and some Duoro-bake.
Fullish, still very tannic palate. Plum and some spice. Pure, balanced, rich and fruity. Very easy to like. No special complexity yet.

  • Have gone through a handful of halfies and this never fails to deliver on the same vibes and joy when I tasted at the winery in '18.

  • Opened and consumed over one week. Was in a glass stopped decanter.

Deep, rich, thick ox-blood in color
Tons of raisins and prunes, figs, on the nose. Some baking spice.
Tastes like the nose would indicate but subtle and nowhere as sweet as I was expecting. Longish finish. Really nice sipping port. My style. Paired great with cheese of course. Lovely stuff. Could drink two bottles of this port in a year vs the one I drink annualy.

  • I will write many notes on this. But just out of the bottle this is my best port ever. Will drink it over many days so will be back.

Day 3: Just a little sip but no doubt, this is great. Over 90 for sure.

Day 6: Start to get som raisin now. But still fab. Rich, full-bodied, intense but still elegant. 93

Day 7: Probably at its best so far. Choc and coffee and a sweetness that perfectly balances the french chocolate cake. Upping grade to 94.

Day 8 and I'm thinking of upping the grade to 95. Will finnish the bottle tomorrow and decide then. Just getting better and better.

Day 9 and the finale. And when I came to the end of the bottle it was so much sediment I couldn't really concentrate on the flavours. So 94 stands, but it is a strong 94.
