14% vol Deep colour but some translucence; garnet and brown touches… mature. Mature, mellow and broad nose. Spicy, with soft liquorice, dried plum and fig. Sweet (acetic) touches of cherry/liqueur – good concentration.
Palate is ripe and mature, mellow and resolved with good intensity and concentration. Toasty mature notes, earth, sweet elements, sweet spices. Fruit is there, no bitterness, but a little grip. Mature and well-balanced.
I think i'd have found this more interesting a few years ago.

This is drinking beautifully. Slightly new world style Sangiovese with dark color and matching fruits. Beautifully balanced and very good finish. Not much of that typical sulfur-iodiny you get with Italian Sangios. Highly recommend.

Purple and opaque. Dark fruit and rich Tuscan minerallity on the nose with a touch of sage. The palate is consistent with modest mouthfeel and medium acidity. Round tannins help the wine drink well right now. 5+13+16+8=92

Bright red and clear in the glass. Sangiovese and Cabernet on the nose with bright red cherry notes and some subtle herbaceous notes. Cherry, vanilla, anise, and some herbaceous cab on the palate. Long, cherry finish with mildly sweet tannins. Excellent IGT. Bright, concentrated, balanced, and well-blended. Much better IMHO than their 06, which seemed rougher than this one.
