Really good spot right now. There is a honey/beeswax element on the nose. A few years really benefitted this wine. Plenty of acid. Lots of ripe orchard fruits on the palate.

very good dry Riesling still wound tight and probably benefits from time to broaden out a bit...was better with food where acid was buffered...interesting wine

Pale yellow color with a green gue. Very bright, crisp and aromatic on the nose, which is dominated by clean lemon and grapefruit notes. There are also cool stone, beeswax and floral nuances, and at later hours grass and smoke. Even with a killer flu I find the bouquet very clear and expressive. On the palate quite intense and tightly wound. Firm and dense but without any fat, with a great focus. Extremely chalky and lemony; expectably primary. Bone dry and austere to some extent. Typical Rheinhessen weight, but with a cutting sour and stony finish. Quite nice overall but nervous and most definitely something to have with - and only with - food at the moment. Decent value for the price, but with an upside.

Bring on Spring parties ...: Racy but lush with an evolving flavor profile showing roasted peaches, golden delicious apples, ripe pear, honey and tropical fruits. It's flavorful enough to draw your attention but balanced with an acidic, dry, and uplifting backbone that makes it easy to sip endlessly.

(Wagner-Stempel Siefersheimer Riesling Vom Porphyr Trocken) Light yellow color; appealing, tart pear, ripe apple nose; tasty, poised, tart apple, tart pear, mineral, saline palate with tangy medium acidity; could use 2-plus years; medium-plus finish (12.5% alcohol)
