  • Lunch at the Librije (Zwolle, NL): [Restaurant Purchase] No detailed notes. This showed beautifully; Generous, ripe while so linear with great acidity

  • 12,5% Alc., high end natural cork, pale to yellow color. Started the bottle yesterday and finished it today with very stable impression and performance.

Nose: Beautiful, intense, subtle yellow fruit, exuding class.

Palate: Perfectly balanced! Subtle Yellow fruit, cool and fresh, firm mineral structure, very harmonious and drink animating. What I miss is bit of a special and absolutely distinctive character. Maybe everything is too nice and well-behaved.

A word about prices. The wine was originally sold ex winery for around 40 Euros, which I also was able to purchase as a private customer. Even then, considering the demand and the international reputation, an extremely fair price that remains affordable for most wine lovers and drinkers. Thanks to K.P. Keller for these fairness that is still practiced today.

  • Opened and allowed to slow ox for a few hours. Back into fridge for 1 hour before pouring.

Nose and palate were reticent on first sniff and sip. Revisited a few hours later and it had opened up considerably. Lemon, grapefruit, baker’s yeast, white flowers. Taut and lithe, several years away from apogee but not unapproachable with lots of air. There’s a hint of anise that comes through. Some grip on the gums and tongue.

93-94. Worth the price of admission? No, but unquestionably a brilliant wine.

  • Nokså stum på duft, men etterhvert dukker det opp litt grapefrukt. Ekstremt flott i munnen. Deilig frukt (grønne epler) og mineralitet på samme tid, og et herlig syrespill i munnen. Fint saltpreg. Kraftig og ungdommelig vin fremdeles. Sitter lenge, med en del grapefrukt igjen.

  • What a powerhouse

Fine acidity, well balanced creaminess and flawless play of aromas

    Strong but elegant, 99/100
