  • PNP. Deep dark magenta color (little sign of age). Plum, fig, granite, and subtle crème brûlée. Very smooth, dry palate, with good acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.

This is impressive for its age. Surprisingly fruit forward. I was having this with some excellent food at Noble Rot Soho, which may have positively influenced my rating, but not by much.

  • One more year since my last note.

Corivined - very nice. Notes as per previous, just without the need to wait for it to open up

Superb drinking now. (Note that I stored it in a warmer temp than normal on purpose for 2 years, so this is possibly more mature than properly stored bottles. )

  • 1 year on from previous note. This time I try slow ox (according to my previous note.) Opened previous night at 2300 and leave in cellar.

19:30 (first 2 pours had good fruit, but not showing much else yet.

Third pour at19:50, now we’re talking.
    Ruby.
nose: Medium+intensity. Red current, cola? , barnyard, plum, hint of leather, mint, vanilla, dark fruit,
Palate: nice complex fruit, very nice tannin(med), Med+ tasty length. Drinking well now.
Only thing is You can feel the 14.5%.

Would want to see how it evolves over next years.

  • Wonderfully elegant and still so youthfully spirited. Initial gentle mouthfeel spreading to a deeper more enduring and satisfyingly complex experience. Red currant meets blackberry with some minerally/savoury complexity. Colour was remarkably young and vibrant and lovely lifted even puckering acids suggested still many years in it. (375ml format).

  • Ok. second bottle, based on my previous experience I’ll decant it for a long time.
Open at 3pm, pour in decanter for use at 6, covered and placed in wine fridge. Let’s see what happens.....

6pm think it still needs more time. Nose seems hidden while palate shows very good fruit. Hope it is still going uphill rather than down hill. Will know in an hour.....

7pm beginning to show. Nose getting more - red current leather violet mint earthy.

Didn’t achieve the heights of my previous bottle. Not sure why..

Note to self - Next time try slow ox.
