Golden color. Unripe stonefruit, grape, flowers in smell. Feels heavy on the tongue, but it's enjoyable enough that it doesn't feel overwhelmingly full-bodied. The acidity helps, too, I suppose. For a Chardonnay, the buttery notes are interestingly lacking. Instead, a kind of green grape taste dominates. I like this a lot.

Not a typical Santa Cruz chardonnay. Deep gold. Oxidized nose. Maybe some banana? Palate more like an aged dry chenin blanc. Didn't seem like chardonnay fruit. Very interesting and not at all bad, but perhaps not for everyone.

Crisp and clean Chard without too much oak. Easy to drink and enjoyed by a variety of drinkers. Will definitely buy again.
