Vintage 2011 Tasting: very pale smokey rich fragrance, whole bunch spice light wt but good flavour intensity, perhaps past its best but still has good acidity and clean flavours.

Great young Pinot. It's got the look of an older wine and there are some secondary flavours (served at a wine bar, from a bottle opened at least 6 hours beforehand). Lovely balance though and this is more burgundy than new world. Maybe a touch underripe as there is a stalky element to the nose. Plate is smooth and complex though, with a spicy finish. Drink now and smile.

The best way to describe this wine is "mini Bannockburn." Im not sure how much, but I am sure theres whole bunches in there. The complexity and floral notes of the bouquet is whats expected of a wine twice this price. Sour cherry and rhubarb palate, and a moderate length.
I think Hoddles Creek has a contender for best value Victorian Pinot
