Earth and dark blue fruit on the nose, Slightly confected but not overly so, fleshiness well balanced with slightly tart spice then lingering savouriness around the edges - very good and would reward a couple of years in the cellar but not the tannins to go further - at this price I'll buy more

Holy cow - what the hell is going on here! I had to double check the receipt to make sure this was as inexpensive as I thought, and it is. Amazing value for money.
The nose is a sweeping balance of sweet dark cherry, minerals and asian spices. All three in unison.
The palette reveals how serious this wine is, with a perfect combination of acidity, fruit, minerals and tannin. There is a little stalkiness to the mid-palette, which I really like, and the finish drifts off to a sweet and savoury concentration of fruit and spicy mineral.
This wine really punches above it's weight, and in my mixed dozen, it came in at $17, which makes this the best sub-twenty-dollar pinot I have ever had.
