Gifted from a friends cellar where this was lost for about a decade. Always nice to try something with a bit of age that may not necessarily have been intended to age. This is turning to a light golden with a moderately aromatic nose, palate is dry with bright acidity holding on, citrus, and stone fruit, creaminess with a bit of agave nectar emerging. Very nice. Cork was saturated and a bit crumbly.

Good/Very Good. This is really good juice; lime zest, grassy with a Chablis-like flinty edge when it is cold and right out of the fridge. As it comes up to room temperature, it loses some of the flinty edge but is great with food.

Light lemon and grassy notes with fine minerality. Thin on the palate and clipped on the finish, though tasty and forgivable for the price. Not bad for $14

(Château de Thauvenay Sancerre) Light yellow color; focused, tart peach, citrus, quince nose; tasty, focused, tart citrus, tart grapefruit, mineral palate with bright medium acidity; medium-plus finish (juicy, solid Sancerre; 13.5% alcohol; sample provided by winery)
