Years ago, a tasting of this wine at Rodney Strong converted us to trying zinfandels. Knotty Vines has a nose and intense taste of ripe red berries, complemented by minerality that that keeps it dry. Pepper and spices highlight a lively character and medium finish that has kept us coming back for more. Great by itself, with crudites and creamy California goat cheeses, or accompanying your entree, as long as it's not wimpy or delicate.

Round, juicy red berries with some moderating minerality, pepper and spice. A long-time go-to zin. See my 7/3/2014 tasting note.

See my March 2014 note. This is a consistent wine, consistently good and easy drinking. Not going to knock anyone's socks off, but tasty.
