Vranac, pronounced Varantz, is the local Montenegro grape that makes this wine. Nose is fresh and has pleasant greenness, the palate has blackcurrant fruit but the alcohol is a little prominent. Very good value.

Very good value. If this is what Vranac tastes like, I like it! Very dark purple. Nicely round blackcurrant flavours, not hugely long or complex but a well made easy drinking red wine. Better on day two, consider decanting. 16.5

Tastes sweet like cherry pie yet is as rugged as the hills. Slightly boozy though, esp. on the nose.
