Réserve de 2002 et 2001. Nez évolué et toasté. Notes d’oxydation et rancio. Long et ample en bouche sur des notes de fruits jaunes, cognac, légèrement beurré. Très joli. 92

Jacquesson 728-741 tasting. 60% Vintage 2002, 40% Reserve, No blend info, but all Grands and 1er Crus from Grande Vallee de la Marne and Cote des Blancs. Disg 1st quarter 2006, 5 g/l dosage. Sadly, paat prime and showing oxidized. Sigh. Not bad, only 1 off in 14 wines.
Retasted on Day 2 just in case and this couldn't be more different. This shows a touch toasty with vanilla cream on top of lemon. Less sweet apple, but some bitter melon. Fantastic acidity still shining through, maybe a touch flat on the finish.

A Thanksgiving story. We were guests at my inlaws for Thanksgiving. We were pouring a big name Champaigne when my mother-in-law mentions that she still has a bottle in her fridge that we gave her a "few years ago". You got it, a 730, 10 years after we gifted it! Regifting never had it so good. Condition was pristine. Still toasty with good acidity and bubbles. A lovely bottle I never would have guessed would hold up so well! Happy Thanksgiving!

(NV Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 730) Nice, faintly strawberry nose; refreshing, tart palate with a hint of caviar juice and steeliness; short-medium creamy finish

Disgorged 2005, 40% reserve wines. Smoky aromatics with great balance. Palate fallen short compared to Selosse Les Carelles single vineyard alongside.

Very elegant wine, lemon and vanilla. 2002 base, tastes fresher.
