Delightful typical German Riesling and travelling very well. Quite a delicate nose of grape juice with a tiny touch of aldehydic reduction gives this away as coming from the Mosel area. This now has a pale straw colour but with great clarity. Quite a pure palate, almost perfectly poised with modest alcohol and the lovely Riesling flavours. It has a touch of spritz which complements the wine and adds interest. There is adequate acidity. Very enjoyable and it should last another decade in a good cellar.

Slightly hazy straw. This wine is much more about the palate than the nose. There are some clean stony, citrus aromas but the wine really comes alive in the mouth. Juicy peach, grapefruit, mint and kiwi. Great lip smacking acidity. $12? Really? Good heavens. I would love to sit down and crack a bottle of this with some Chinese food. In fact, I plan on doing so this weekend.

Ok, along with the basic riesling from Donhoff I now have a new "go to" summer Mosel. This is great for $17. Bright acidity with an expansive mouthfeel and tangy citrus & a dollop of tropical.

3.5 years on -- still killing it. This will be great for a very long time. One bottle left and will try to keep it for some time.
EDIT: Welp, killed the last bottle the next day. Boo.

The best $17 you'll ever spend on a Riesling. Not spatlese sweet nor trocken bone drive. Just right and packed with depth. Love it!
