Dinner with the wine group (Millbrae, CA): Golden, slight oxidation but not premoxed; palate is a bit honeyed, peach and pear; finish is medium length. This is interesting, but perhaps better a bit younger. 89

quality les folatieres, not premoxed but definitely a deep golden color. the style is subtle but expressive as it lingers. might be just slightly past peak but still a good wine

By a substantial margin, the wine of the night among the white Burgundies at the Wine Watch horizontal tasting of 2002 red and white Burgundies, as well as my personal favorite among all of the wines, reds included. The wines were all pre-poured into separate glasses, giving me a chance to make 6 passes through tasting through all of them over a 2 hour period. This wine has zero flaws and most importantly, no oxidation whatsoever. The nose is very perfumed and inviting, including flowers and lemon citrus. A glycerine smooth texture is mouth coating, supremely caressing, and near everlasting in the swallow. But what most makes it the greatest wine of the evening is having the richest, most complexly layered, and delicious taste. Overall, an excellent example of how a Chardonnay, tasted side by side with superb red wines, can be the best wine on the table.

I'm not a huge white fan, but this was very nice. A golden yellow in the glass with nice balance and biscuit flavours. Drank at SWs Christmas Dinner.

Fabulous wine. Dark golden yellow, silky, rich and complex. No oxidation. Punching well above its weight!
