Deep ruby. Medium intensity nose of cherry, blueberry, earth, smoke. Wine is medium bodied, fruity, medium+ acidity, diminished silky tannins. Medium high persistence.

This wine is different than most others you will drink. It starts with plum and blackberry with earthy notes. Very heavy with some acidity and very tame tannins at 10 years old. Very dry with a lot of puckering to finish.

PCG Gathering (Edmund and Shuming's place @ the Marbella): Very pleasant. This had a very attractively dark fruited nose, with blackberries and plums seasoned with sweet baking spices, dried flowers and a touch of earthiness. The palate was still tight, with chewy tannins and bright acidity forming a structured frame around ripe black fruit flavours seasoned with more of those sweet spices picked up on the nose. At the finish, a nice wild brambliness mixed in nicely with the ripe fruit. There was a touch of alcohol in there, but otherwise this was pretty well balanced. A nice wine, but it probably needs another 5-6 years in bottle.

Un vin rouge qui possède des notes d'olives noires, de fruits noirs. Bien, complexe et très long. A point. 93 sur 100.
