Heavy and a bit thick. No noticeable tannins. Smooth but the taste was odd, definitely not for me. 8/30/17: After a day on the counter, under vacuvin, this was MUCH more interesting. It came together and sang, and went especially well with grilled lamb. Still heavy, but now with notes of dark fruits and sous-bois and nothing strange at all. Really liked it. What a change! Perhaps this means that the wine is still very young, but what do I know? A day or two later: back to tasting slightly nasty again. No idea why. I guess this wine is best avoided.

Medium+ body with notes of plum jam, boysenberry, dark chocolate, and a bit of blackberry. Tannins are not overpowering, but certainly linger through the finish. Went well with a ribeye steak.

Dark and creamy with ripe raspberry, blackberry and plum. Slight hint of toffee. Herbal notes midpalate with cocoa wrapping up the finish. Very nice medium-bodied wine.

Ripe black fruit on the nose, plum, blackberry, clove and Dutch chocolate. Carries through to the palate with cocoa powder and juicy plums, a little more RS then I like but an easy wine to pair with food.
