  • Not as sweet and concentrated as expected, but very nice with tiramisu or with creme bruleé. Tasted from the half bottle. Given the tasting notes from erobertparker.com it has clearly calmed down. Licorize, chocolate and dark berries with a lingering finish. Drink it up!

  • Maybe I opened this too soon, but I thought 15 years in a half-bottle would be enough. Had an immense nose of cassis, cherry and blackberries. Deep and syrupy in the glass. Very intense and dense flavor, but was not integrated. The fruit, acidity and residual tannins were at cross-purposes. I felt like I was drinking a sweetened, young shiraz when I was expecting a layered port-like experience. Was not any better over the next three days, so I'm not sure it will improve.

  • Yummy. I have limited experience with fortified wines, but this was a winner. Sweet, smooth flavor, with a hint of berry and cassis. Looking forward to trying this again tonight.
