This is an absolute beast: full throttle, opaque black, grainy tannins, wild black and spicy blueberries, tart cherries, dark unsweetened bakers chocolate, and cedar mulch. Big and bold mouthfeel with enough structure and acidity to support at least another ten years of cellaring. Decant and enjoy with very hearty food for the foreseeable future. Not for the faint hearted!

This opaque ruby wine, 100% Petite Sirah, is a full-bodied bruiser that is packed with dark bramble fruits, blueberries, anise, bittersweet chocolate and savory herbs. Freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (despite being listed as 15.4%), it wraps its flavors with plentiful firm tannins and has impressive mid-palate density. The finish is long, with a dusty tannic edge. Although delicious now, this is only going to get better as the tannins integrate. Give it a bit more cellar time if you can resist. Drink 2019-2030.
