Dark and thick saturated colour. Slightly hidden nose of mint and spice, and round fruit of blueberry and blackberry. Tannins and acid are well balanced, overall there is nothing negative that can be easily noticed. Good PQR. Recommended.

Decanted for almost an hour before enjoying. A great wine with a intriguing nose of black pepper, savory spice, cassis and blackberry leading to a succulent thirst quenching mid-palate of dark fruit. A great showing for sure and the best bottle I have had with this wine.

Upon opening, the wine showed notes of barnyard and mushroom, which made me think that it had brett. But, this eventually blew off to show similar notes as my previous bottle, specifically the chocolaty, pepper and dark fruit notes. The wine showed great on day 2.

Over 3 hour period, this nose showed notes of white chocolate, dark chocolate, black pepper, kirsch, cassis and dark berries leading to a full-bodied mouthfilling wine. I feel that this might be the best wine Aaron has produced (I have not tried the '09) even though at the 3 hour mark the wine showed a lot of sweetness with riper red fruit that resembled ripe grenache.
