  Drank this on day two of opening. Deep, dark red fruits sprinkled with savory cooking spices. Menthol and adequate acidity on the mid palate keep this heavy wine refreshing between each sip.
  
  The mouthfeel is great - the supple tannins and medium-heavy body spreads well across your tongue.
  
  Finish is long and dense. Excellent cheese plate wine.

  This bottle is very good, like a top flight Pomerol in a challenging year (maybe 2013 VCC?). Delicious dark red fruits, truffle, and floral lift with great balance, good silky mid palate depth and acidity to keep things fresh. My friend bought some that appeared to be badly stored and it affected the outcome. This one was well stored and ready to go. In a word, terrific.

  Dark and opaque. Lush, inviting, floral nose. Strawberry and raspberry along with cedar. Big and mouth filling. Lingering finish

  Wine from a cool site, in a very cool vintage- things that could detract from a good merlot. Despite the challenges, this is a very good merlot. Had with a pork tenderloin with plum sauce, and the Arietta was a great counterpoint. Balanced enough to let the sweetness of the plum sauce sing through, and play a solid complementary role.
