Saved 2 bottles of this until 2021. First bottle never really opened up. This is a review of the 2nd. Nose of violets, sawdust and leather book cover. Mouth of plums and carbon paper with excellent height. Medium length finish of aniseed. Excellent food-accompanying wine that is in a good spot right now but I wouldn't be surprised if it kept developing. Some sediment at the bottom.

The wine has medium acidity. It smells like black currant (cassis) and bready. The wine finishes medium. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has juicy texture.

The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour.
The nose is clean and developing, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of very ripe black fruit (dark plums jam, dark cherries jam), oak (chocolate) and bottle ageing (truffles, black olives).
The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a high alcohol. It has a full body and pronounced intensity flavours of very ripe black fruit (dark plums jam, dark cherries jam), oak (chocolate) and bottle ageing (truffles, black olives). The finish is long.
It is a very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and very concentrated flavours that balance the alcohol. However a better example of this style would be more complex.
Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some more tertiary aromas over the next 1-2 years.
