  This is solid but fading. Acidity is still good and it's full of rich raspberry fruit, yet it doesn't really pop like it should. Based on a fair amount of experience with this producer, I suspect there was once a vibrancy here that has now passed. It's quite murky/cloudy in the glass but has no sediment at all. Hasn't really developed any interesting tertiary flavors. Finish is shorter than expected.

  Opened an hour before drinking. Deep red with a hint of orange at the rim. Ripe dark berries and dried fruits on the nose and palate. Bright, jammy and balanced. Showing some port flavors. Time to drink up while still delicious.

  Aromas open to show rich strawberry preserve, ripe cherry and framboise that mingles with scents of florals, pastry, herbs and delicate spice.
  On the palate rich fruits brings notes of Kirsch, strawberry preserve, linzer torte and raspberry that come laced with herbs of sage and oregano, floral pastilles, powder ginger and cinnamon as well as light hints of vanilla and red tea. Voluptuous and textured on the palate with above moderate acid, grippy tannins and warming alcohol. Lingering with penetrating fruit through the finish.

  Nothing to not like about this wine. It's a sipper - a slurper - not to be gulped.
  Beautiful deep garnet in color. 15.1% alcohol but not a hint of heat. Once you can pull your nose out of the glass, a firm but round mouth feel is followed by dark fruit slowly resolving to a hint of spice. The long slow finish makes you wait for your next sip.
  If I had more, I'd drink it now. I can't imagine it getting any better.
