From half. Can only imagine how tannic this must have been closer to release. Still quite a bit of powdery dryness here - a first for me and gamay. But structurally nice - refreshing acidity still, and attractive weight (again, if heavier than I’m usually looking for in Beaujolais). Muted but harmonious berry flavors on palate, somewhere between red and dark fruit; blueberry, almost. Pleasant, all told, but other than I had expected.

Tim's. Nose is a little reticent but it's great on the palate. At peak.

Burst of cherry fruit and mocha. Medium bodied with smooth tannins.
