Stunning. Decanted for 3 hours or so. So balanced. Full of ripe, dark stone fruit, earth. Even some nuttiness in there, along with tobacco, leather, unsweetened chocolate. Paired with Iberico pork shoulder stew, made with creme fraiche, milk over polenta. Otherwordly. One of thos Brunello that almost seems like its own state of matter. That good.

A bit bruised and old at first but gained with air to become pretty interesting, if underfruited and a bit bretty.
