  Opaque purple. Lots of black currant fruit on the ripe nose, with licorice, Altoids, raw meat, black pepper, cocoa, and herb aromas. The palate is tart, dry but juicy, long, and youthful, exhibiting sharp acidity, blackberry, black currant, and spicy, roasted red pepper flavors that shift to crushed rocks on the finish. This is bold, spicy, and a touch rustic. Threw a little sediment so best to decant.
