  Surprisingly ready to drink (given the age). The nose is complex, but just a little shy. Tobacco, red meat, cherry, and menthol. The palette is OUTSTANDING. Fulbodied but also with a vein of subtle verve. Very expressive with resolved tannins, and appropriate concentration. Smokey dark red fruit, chocolate, tobacco, and hints of red meat. The finish is long and powerful. Such a wonderful bottle. A shame it’s my last, as it would continue to improve for at least 5 more years.
