This wine is singing right now. Syrah/Merlot blend with cherry, raspberry, cassis, a touch of allspice and mocha powder. The oak (which early reviewers in 2014 complained was too prevalent) is now very well integrated and there is just a mild tannic grip on the finish. Savory, with a juicy mouthfeel, this is very quaffable. It also improved over several days, so it may have a few good years left but why wait? Give it some air and enjoy!

A little age went surprisingly well on this incredible QPR wine. Drinks like a $60 CA/WA Bordeaux blend. Tannins integrated, ripe and restrained red and blue fruit, spicy loamy earth finish.

My new go-to $10 red. This was excellent for the price. Smooth and well balanced, with plenty of structure. Aromas were more complex than I expected, with a bit of smoke and burned toast layering over the dark fruits. Twenty second finish. Let it breath a little... it improved on the second day.

The nose immediately suggests a soft new world wine, with creamy aromas of vanilla and eucalyptus. Smoky oak and vanilla dominate the palate of black and red fruit, that also has a nice streak of acidity.

Full Bodied and mellow. Can taste the layers of the 2 varieties which play well off each other. Somewhat one note, no growth in glass, plateaued.
