Now down to my last couple of bottles from a case purchased in 2011. This one seemed a bit flat and noticeably hollow. Not spoiled or flawed in any way, but just not nearly as good as previous bottles. Probably starting to fall apart - which in such a soft, round and fruit-forward wine is hardly surprising after almost 4 years in the cellar. Time to drink up, I do believe. 50+5+10+14+7=86

Much better than my previous bottle of this vintage 2 years ago. Fantastic nose of ripe fruit and blue berries. Creamy with round tanins and a spicy backbone that make it hard to put down. Very well put together with many layers.

Consistent with my prior note, but noticeably better on the nose this time. Attractive, powerful aromas of berries, spice and licorice. Medium-to-full-bodied and bursting with blueberry and blackberry flavor. The long, polished finish features fine-grained tannins and notes of vanilla and oak. Showing better balance now too, with the oak a bit less prominent. Silky and delicious, this is probably at its peak right now. You simply cannot do any better in a Columbia Valley Red for around 13 bucks. 50+5+12+16+8=91

Similar to past notes with some fading in the fruit. The blueberries seemed more pronounced with soft round tannins. Medium length finish.
drink up
